The Placid Instruments PCR22 measurement microphone boasts a hyper sensitive quarter-inch diaphragm, a condenser design with an omnidirectional free-field polar pattern and a sharply accurate frequency response that never drops a detail. While primarily designed for checking the acoustics in the control room and calibrating studio monitors, the 160 decibel SPL of this mike is also an outstanding solution when recording percussion instruments - including full drum kits.
